With Thanksgiving just over and Christmas only 22 days away, we are all looking for that special knock- their-socks-off magical sweet to adorn our holiday goodie tray to have our guests saying “oooooh, aaaaah”. And wouldn’t it be great if you found that magical sweet and it only contained 3 ingredients and was super easy to make?
Well Santa just waved his magical wand and your wish just came true – Peppermint Hot Chocolate Oreo Cookie Balls.

What makes these so magical?
I’m so glad you asked.

Today I turn 45. I had planned on posting all the “great” things about being in your 40’s. You know things like how your arms aren’t long enough and how carbs are now the enemy, etc., etc.
But I felt more like writing about how grateful I am to have had the past 45 years of life.
I’m grateful for my parents who brought me into this world. And even more grateful they didn’t take me out. God knows I’ve given them a few times that I’m sure they would have liked to. I’m grateful to be their daughter and step-daughter.
I’m grateful for my hot husband. Yes, he’s hot to me. After 22 years of marriage, he still makes me laugh and has my back and puts up with so much. I love that guy. I’m grateful to be his wife.
I’m grateful for my kids. They have taught me more about love and being selfless than anyone or anything else could. They make me smile every-single-day! I’m grateful to be their mom.
I’m grateful for my family. The laughs, the tears, the conversations, the memories. I’m grateful to be their sister, their daughter-in-law, their aunt, their sister-in-law, their niece, their cousin.
I’m grateful for my many, many, many friends that I’ve made in the past 45 short years. Each one has been in my life at a certain time that has helped shape me for who and what I am today. I’m grateful to be their friend.
I’m grateful for this thing called life.
Here’s to another 45 more grateful years!

I’ve been using eMeals.com
for over 2 months now and I have to say it is helping me plan our weekly meals and save money at the grocery store. I LOVE it!
I’m sharing this service with you because I believe that the key to saving money at the grocery store is by planning and some of us need a little help on that end. At least I know I do.
This is how it works.

Sometimes Plan A doesn’t work so you have to go to Plan B. Then sometimes Plan B doesn’t work and you have to go to Plan C. And then Plan C doesn’t look exactly the way you wanted but you say – hey, I don’t have a Plan D and I am NOT heading back to Walmart today.
That’s how my day went making these “easy” cupcakes.
Plan A was to use fruit roll ups as the feathers. They were so colorful and looked great – for about 3 seconds. Then the fruit roll up feathers started to droop over. My turkey couldn’t have droopy feathers so I went to Plan B.

Who wants some veggies? Yeah baby! These fun shaped veggie trays are sure to be a hit for your Thanksgiving and holiday get togethers.

Yum Food and Fun For Kids asked me to come up with some fun veggie trays for their holiday issue so I put my thinkin’ hat on, stalked the vegetable aisle, and came up with these 3 fun ideas.
