Happy 2012! It’s so good to be back. We had a great Christmas break. All 5 of us home together for 10 full days. It was wonderful fantastic, oh heck who am I kidding, even though I love my family dearly, I couldn’t wait for the 4 of them to go back to school and work so I could have the house back to myself today.
All kidding aside, it really was a good break though. We hung out with family and friends. We ate, we drank. We watched movies, we ate. We shopped, we ate. We played on our electronics, we ate. We read, we played games, we ate. Do you see a pattern here?
Need a last minute host gift idea for your New Year’s Eve Party? Cheeky Kitchen posted this idea last week as a last minute Christmas gift but it would be fitting for New Year’s too. What a fun and easy idea and who doesn’t love poppers?!
To see the whole blog post, head over to Cheeky Kitchen where Brooke ALWAYS has something fun going on.
Yesterdays One Word Wednesday – Dreaming… is exactly that – a dream. I dream of a family ski vacation some day. Dreams are nice, aren’t they?
But now on with reality. With New Year’s Eve just 2 days away I could tell you were in the mood for a beverage. Who knew champagne could be used in different cocktails? Not me – I’ve only had it poured from the bottle into that plastic cup. Can you tell I’m not a high maintenance girl. Korbel has all kinds of recipes on their site to make all kinds of drinks. Now I have not tasted any of these but if I were to sample a few – I think this one would be my favorite.Happy New Year and please drink responsibly. That means no drinking and driving!
