I like hard boiled eggs especially when they are turned into Deviled Eggs. When my hubby needs to take something for a potluck at work, Deviled Eggs are always his first choice.
Before you can make Deviled Eggs you need to start with hard boiling them first. For me, this is the easy part and then peeling the eggs was always the frustrating part. I never knew if the shells would come off easily or if they would look like crater eggs when I got done.
So I set out on a mission to find the proper way to boil eggs and an easy way to peel them. Why I didn’t do this years ago, I’ll never know. But this is what I found.
Here’s a short story to go along with these bars.
Once upon a time, in a far away kitchen, a lovely baker decided to do something nice for her son’s basketball team. She was going to make them some Toffee Bars for their basketball tournament that weekend to give them the sugar rush they needed in between their games.
So the lovely baker set out to make these delicious Toffee Bars. She mixed and baked and spread the chocolate oh so evenly thinking of what joy these bars would bring that team of boys.
I like easy.
Easy puzzles, easy math problems, easy recipes. I’m an easy girl. Now get your mind out of the gutter. Not easy like that (unless I’ve had 2 glasses of my favorite white wine – then it’s a different story).
I just like easy stuff.
Last week was supposed to be an easy week for me “work” wise. I wanted to get so much done. There were finances to log in, taxes to prepare and Sugar Buzz Pantry stuff to prep.
Today is Valentine’s Day just in case you didn’t know.
I’m not going to get all lovey dovey on you today. I promise. We don’t have time for that.
Instead, I give you something simple to make for your sweetie because let’s face it, if you are reading this on Valentine’s Day and trying to get a quick simple dessert idea for tonight; you don’t have a lot of time. You are a procrastinator like me.
Tick, tock, tick, tock. Do you hear that? The clock is ticking. So let’s not waste any time.
