So I’ve heard there’s a big game going on this Sunday?
Since the Packers didn’t make it this year, I don’t have as much interest, but I do love the idea of two brothers going head-to-head in the biggest game of their lives. And since I had the 49ers defense as my Fantasy Football defense this year, I’m going to be cheering them on. Considering they were the only consistent point putteruppers (that is a word right?) on my team – it seems only right.
We don’t have a party to go to nor are we throwing one BUT if we were, I put together this menu from the past year’s recipes and this is what I would be serving. Feel free to grab anything off of here to serve at your own.
Creamy Garlic and Herb Turkey Sandwiches – oh my mouth is watering.

Have you been wondering where I’ve been for the past 2 weeks? Well, part of that time my family and I spent in Breckenridge, CO on a dream vacation. Well, not really a dream vacation because if it were a dream – I would have stayed right on the mountain and had our own private hot tub. But, this vacation was certainly a middle income dream which was just fine with us.

AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Can you hear that scream of mine? It’s an excited scream just in case you couldn’t tell.
You see the cover of this magazine – Yum Food & Fun for Kids – it has one of my creations on it.

See the animal pretzels on the top left? Those are mine from a blog post last year.
And inside, you get to see the whole recipe.

I was so excited when I was contacted a few months ago to see if I would be interested in having these cute pretzels in their magazine. I of course said “YYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!”
Since this magazine has a limited distribution, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy. When it arrived in the mail, I was so happy to see that this is a great magazine for any parent who wants new ideas on not only sweet treats but meal planning, healthy snacks, and party ideas.

I still can’t get over seeing my name in print. It’s a pretty darn cool feeling.

The best part of this whole deal is that I get to give away to one lucky reader, a one-year subscription to this quarterly magazine. If you would like a chance to win this subscription, just leave a comment below telling me what your favorite magazine is.
If you aren’t the winner, you can always get a subscription here.
Good Luck!
Open to US residents only.
I will choose a comment using Random.org. The winner will be notified by e-mail and has 48 hours to respond. If I receive no response, I will choose another winner.
Comments were open until Sunday, January 20 at 8 pm CST.

UPDATE!!!!
The winner was Becky, comment #14! Congrats Becky, I know you’ll love it!

Snowmen. Who doesn’t love to build a snowman? Even at the age of – well, let’s just say – that even at MY age, I still enjoy building a snowman but the conditions have to be just right.
You know, a nice heavy snow. About 28 degrees with no wind and some hot chocolate waiting for you inside.

So when the conditions aren’t perfect or you’ve experienced a January thaw like we did, you have to compromise when you want some snow fun.
