Comments Off on Chick Cake Pops made with Donut Holes

Cake pops can be finicky for me. Mixing up the cake mix with just the right amount of frosting has always been a guessing game – especially if I want that cake pop to stay on a stick – right side up.
So I decided to try to make some chick cake pops out of donut holes and guess what – they worked perfectly. No messing around making a cake, letting it bake, adding what you think is the correct amount of frosting to get the perfect consistency, rolling them into balls, freezing them and praying they’ll stay on the stick. That process was always a huge stressor in my life.

I love the grill! #1 reason – less dishes to wash! Seriously, that’s my main reason for using it. If I could use it year round and for every meal, I would.
Today, I’m teaming up with a bunch of other bloggers to bring you budget friendly meals. Who doesn’t want more of those? I know I do.
This marinated grilled chicken recipe is not only budget friendly, but easy and enough for 2 – 3 meals for a family of 5 with 2 teenagers and a tween.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pompeian. All opinions are my own though.

I cook with olive oil several times a week.
I love it for frying my eggs, sautéing some veggies, as a base for a dressing, and especially for marinating meats.
Pompeian has a new line of olive oils out that I think are just stinkin’ cool.
Each of the 3 Pompeian Varietals Collection is blended to enhance the flavor of certain foods it is paired with from seafood to red meat (kind of like wine). What makes it so different from regular olive oil, is that each variety is made from one single olive variety and contains less than 5% acidity, which means that only high quality olives were used to make the oil.
See, not only do you receive a great recipe, you can become educated here too.

I looked at the calendar this weekend and realized there is just over 2 months until my oldest graduates from high school. AHHHHHHHHHHH! I’m kind of deep down inside freakin’ out.
Not because of the party – that’s the fun stuff. We have the tent and tables rented. The food and drinks are planned out. We planted flowers in pots so that they will hopefully look pretty in 2 months. I ordered the party invitations last night. That stuff I’m cool with.

I know you are as ready for spring as I am.
The colder than cold temperatures this winter have chilled my family to the bone. We’ve drank more hot chocolate this past winter than the past 10 combined.
I love snow but I’m ready for it to be gone.
After getting stuck in the driveway for the second time this year, I’m ready for my husband to stop rolling his eyes at me and shaking his head. I, the idiot, was in a hurry both times and just wasn’t paying attention to what I was backing into. Obviously those snow banks jumped out at me, but he seems to think differently.
