March has been a very busy month for our household. We’ve had a revolving door for well over a week now and it won’t stop for another couple of days.
I like routine – even if its a crazy busy routine. So when our “routine” gets put to the test like it has been, I get a little uneasy.
I’ll be so glad when we are all sleeping under the same roof in our own beds.
This mother sleeps best with everyone under her care.
With this crazy schedule I haven’t had a lot of time to post new Easter/Spring ideas so I’m taking a walk down memory lane from last year and recycling those old posts for you. Won’t you join me?

Colored Easter Eggs – Such vibrant colors made from gel pastes you may already have in your house. Get those eggs ready and spend some time in the kitchen with the kiddos decorating eggs.

Carrot Pound Cake – Still love the looks of these fun, delicious cakes. Sara Lee pound cake and chocolate – really, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Ladybug, Duck and Bunny Pretzels – Who doesn’t love the sweet/salty combination of these cute animals that keep popping up on Pinterest and Facebook? Yum, one of my favorites!
Hoping it looks and feels more like spring at your house than it does mine!

There’s nothing like a clothing shopping trip to make you realize that those 5 pounds you want to drop, NEEDS to be dropped. That’s what happened yesterday. My oldest and I spent the day shopping and this big hinder of mine that follows me around, kept reminding me that I need to drop 5 pounds to fit into the clothes or 10 pounds for them to fit nicely.
UGH!
So what kind of a recipe am I sharing with you today? No – no health food. Although onions are a vegetable and vegetables are good for you. But probably not the best if prepared like this.
Good ole’ deep fried onion rings.

I have wanted to make these for a LONG time but I was kind of cheap. These reusable push up pop containers used to only be found on the internet and I didn’t want to pay the online price plus shipping. See – I’m cheap and not afraid to admit it.
But now, even us cheapskates can enjoy these cute containers. Wilton now packages and sells them in the craft stores. I found mine at Michael’s. And the best part is that I could use a 40% off coupon on them so it made them much more affordable. Score one for the frugal shopper!!!
