How to Save Money on Your Grocery Bill with eMeals

I’ve been using eMeals.com for over 2 months now and I have to say it is helping me plan our weekly meals and save money at the grocery store.  I LOVE it!

I’m sharing this service with you because I believe that the key to saving money at the grocery store is by planning and some of us need a little help on that end.  At least I know I do.

This is how it works.

You sign up for a meal plan. They have 13 to choose from (to include Paleo, Vegetarian, Mediterranean, plus 10 more) and you can change your choice once a month. I started out the first month with the Classic Meal Plan, then the next month went to Low Carb and this month I’m trying out the Crock Pot Classic Meals.

Each Wednesday you receive in your inbox 7 meals all planned out for you PLUS a shopping list with prices. You get to choose from a list a grocery store in their database and it bases the cost off of your choice. Most weeks my plan runs right around $100.  You can save these meal plans so if you want to go back to a recipe, you’ll have it.

When I have my meals planned out for the week, I’m much more relaxed come dinnertime.  I’m not looking in the fridge or freezer at 5 p.m. wondering what we’re going to have for dinner.

I sit down over the weekend, make out our meal plan for the next week, make out the grocery list, and then head to the store.  This planning has helped save us money on groceries. I’m not buying things I MAY need. I buy what we need for the week and maybe a few staples and that’s it. Oh and maybe a package of cookies and a gallon of ice cream.  It makes us happy!

I don’t use all 7 recipes they send me each week.  I use what I know our family will eat or we’ll try something new and then I’ll fill in the rest of the days of the week with our family favorites. Some weeks I use 2 recipes, some 3 or 4, but it is helping with my meal planning which has always been a hassle for me. I’ve always said I don’t mind cooking if someone would just tell me what to make.  And what do you know, eMeals is telling me!

Now I’ll be honest, I haven’t planned out our weekly meals every single week for the past 2 ½ months and the weeks I don’t, I make more trips to the grocery store, which means spending more money, and I’m stressed come dinnertime.  For the weeks I do plan out our meals, life is good!

eMeals.com is offering a great deal right now – 30% off their subscription plans. So literally, for less than $1/week with this deal, you can get 7 planned out meals sent to you each week.  You’ll possibly save that just in your first or second trip to the grocery store.

To take advantage of this deal, click through to their site from the image above. Once there, you can see sample meal plans and their subscription options.

This would make a great gift to a busy family for the holidays as well!  Think about giving the gift of planned meals!

If you do sign up, I hope it saves you time, money, and helps your life be a little more hassle free like it has mine.

I participate in the eMeals affiliate program so if you do purchase a subscription with them through my site, I make a commission off of it.  I have received a one free year subscription to talk about eMeals but I didn’t accept it until after I tried it out on my own for almost 3 months. All feelings about the program are my own.

I did emeals a few years ago. I saved them all and I think I did it for a year. You’re right, it takes the stress off and provides a good shopping list which helps save money. I will share!
