Brownie Push Up Pops for Valentine’s Day

 Red Ball

I have wanted to make these for a LONG time but I was kind of cheap.  These reusable push up pop containers used to only be found on the internet and I didn’t want to pay the online price plus shipping.  See – I’m cheap and not afraid to admit it.

But now, even us cheapskates can enjoy these cute containers.  Wilton now packages and sells them in the craft stores.  I found mine at Michael’s.  And the best part is that I could use a 40% off coupon on them so it made them much more affordable.  Score one for the frugal shopper!!!

Now use your imagination in creating these.  I’m using brownies but you can use any type of cake or even cookies that you want.  Create a special concoction for that special someone this Valentine’s.  Wouldn’t you love to get one of these made especially for you?

So here’s how you do it.  First take the “push up” part of the pop out.

Pop pieces

Then use the circle to cut out your circle brownie pieces.

Cutting Brownies

When you have as many as you need (normally 3 – 4 circles), put the push up part back into your pop and you are all set to assemble. (I put mine in a block of Styrofoam because it was easier to photograph that way but the top of the pop is meant to be used as a stand to stabilize them. So Smart!!!)

Use Stand Add Icing

First add a circle of brownie.  Now add some buttercream icing, whipped cream, or something sweet.  Repeat the process until you reach the top.

Add brownie top on it

And if you want to transport these – pop the top on them.

Pink Heart Square

I can’t wait to use these when the weather gets warm – I can already see ice cream pops or frozen yogurt in them.  Stay tuned and have your push up pops ready for a few more recipes in the coming several months.

What would you put in your pop?

Those look really cute. Did you know though that the online pricing is in some cases, less costly than the ones in the stores? Also, the push pop containers from W have pin holes in the bottoms so you cannot hold liquid or cream desserts and the cake will dry out a bit. Great Job on your work though. Really Pretty.

Hi There! I did see that the prices have come down on these items online so thank you for pointing that out. And, I did not notice the pin holes in the bottom of the containers I used. Good information to know though. Thanks for stopping by!
