Top 10 Stop Lookin’ Get Cookin’ Recipes and a Birthday Giveaway

It’s been one year already since I started this blog.  Thank you for visiting and reading and trying the recipes.  Without readers like you, this blog would have been gone long ago, like in, 11 months ago.

Without you, there wouldn’t be fun gift packs to give away.  Now don’t go getting’ all too excited.  I can’t afford to give away trips to exotic places or a brand new kitchen, but, I can afford to give away some fun things you will use this upcoming holiday season in your kitchen.  Keep reading and at the end, you’ll see what you can win by leaving me a comment.

I was a little surprised by a few of the recipes that made the Top 10 list of most looked at recipes. Now think of this as in a David Letterman Top 10.  Imagine Martha Stewart or The Pioneer Woman or Emeril announcing these.  Or – if you want, you can image George Clooney or Ryan Reynolds or Sophia Vargas.  Whatever works for you. Got that vision in your head – good!  So here we go.

# 10.  Seasoned Deviled Eggs – Good for any occasion.  Pot lucks especially.

# 9.  Refreshing Oreo Brownie –  Excellent choice.  One of my favorite desserts!

# 8.  Cheese Stuffed Pasta Shells – Oh baby.  Pasta and cheese.  You can’t go wrong here!

# 7.  Super Easy Low Fat Fudge – Really?  You can make fudge low fat and super easy?  Really!  You can!

# 6.  Whipped Chocolate Ganache – Many of you never knew you could whip ganache but now you  know exactly how to do it.

# 5.  Homemade Mac and Cheese – Hmmm.  Comfort food.

# 4.  Chicken Strips – This one surprised me but in a good way.  You’ll love you some chicken with this recipe.

# 3.  Ladybug, Duck and Bunny Pretzels – I knew this one was a good one.  They are too darn cute!

# 2.  Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Nacho Dip – This is man enough for any party.

And the # 1 recipe is … Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting – Yes!  Yes!  Yes!  I’ll have what she’s having!

So there it is – your Top 10.  Can’t wait to see what this next year’s Top 10 will be!

Now as a thank you for reading my blog, I want to give away 3 gift packs.  Each one will have something a little bit different in it.  Each pack will surely have –

  • Cake Tester
  • Scrapper
  • Offset Spatula
  • Fun Notepad
  • Foodoodlers
  • Dipping Tools
  • Candy Foils
  • Winter Wonderland Accents
  • Hearts and Flowers Accents
  • And a coupon for a Sara Lee Dessert – compliments of my friends at Sara Lee

One winner will receive a Candy Making Beginners Guide, another winner will receive the Think Snow cookie cutter set and another winner will win a signed copy of Cupcakes, Cookies and Pie, Oh My! by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson.

For your chance to win one of these 3 gift packs, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me who you imagined in your head reading the Top 10!  Your comment may take some time to show up.  I have to approve them before they can be seen.

Don’t forget to follow Stop Lookin’ Get Cookin’ on facebook.  It doesn’t get you any extra entries this time around but lots of times I share some of my finds or deals over there that I know will interest you.

Entries accepted until Monday, November 19 at 10 am.  One entry per person.  Winners will be chosen by random.org and contacted via e-mail.  Winner will have 24 hours to respond to e-mail or another winner will be chosen.  Winners will be announced as soon as I have 3.

My favorite was the carrot pound cake (the carrot in the jar) – I showed it to my kids and of course we had to immediately try it – the kids had a blast (of course they didn’t have to clean up after) 🙂

I love the recipes and the beautiful photos, but my favorite part of the blog is the witty writing. It always makes me smile! As for who I thought of…a group of friends I don’t see often enough, sitting around a kitchen island listing their favorites.
