Frankenstein Pudding Cups

This is a kid friendly Halloween treat idea. 

So much in fact, my 8 year-old wouldn’t let me help.  Darn kid took all of the fun out of it for me.  Not really.  But she could have.

Crush up your Oreos first.  If you don’t have a food processor, put them in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to crush them into fine pieces.


Next, decorate your cup like a Frankenstein or monster face with a black Sharpie.

Then start making your green pudding.  Have you ever used a Blender Bottle?  You need one if you don’t have one.  It’s the easiest way to make pudding and I hear you can make gravy with it too.  If you know me well enough, you know I can’t make gravy from scratch to save my life.  But, I’ve heard you can use the Blender Bottle for this. Oh and smoothies are easy to make with it too.

Where was I?  Yes – next you filler up with milk, add a few drops of green gel paste, add the pudding mix, put in the whisk ball, tighten the top and start shaking.


I think if you stick your tongue out, it goes faster.

When the pudding is ready, pour into your cups.


Add crushed Oreos for the hair and you have Frankenstein pudding cups.

She wouldn’t let me help make them.  I wonder if she’ll let me help eat them?

Frankenstein Pudding Cups

This makes a great Halloween table dessert or a kid's birthday party dessert as well. Use any sized clear cups you like. I used 3 oz. and 9 oz. cups for a variety but if you want smaller portions, the 3 oz. cups worked perfectly. If yogurt is more your taste, just use yogurt in place of the pudding and add the green gel paste to it and stir well.

Yield: 4 - 9 oz. cups, or 12 - 3oz. cups

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes


2 cups milk
1 – 3.4 oz. box vanilla pudding mix
2 – 4 drops green gel paste
1 – 2 cups crushed Oreos
Clear cups – I used 3 oz. and 9 oz. cups
Black Sharpie Marker


1. Draw a Frankenstein face onto your cup with your Black Sharpie Marker. Make sure to leave room for the crushed Oreo hair.
2. In a bowl or Blender Bottle, pour your milk, green gel paste and pudding. Mix well until it thickens with a whisk or shake the Blender Bottle.
3. Pour pudding into cups.
4. Let set for a couple of minutes.
5. Top with crushed Oreos.
6. Eat right away or chill for up to 2 hours. If they stay in the fridge much longer than that, the Oreos may start to get soggy.
