Friday Find – Unique Gift Idea
This time of year you can spend so much money on gifts that don’t mean a whole lot to most people. Oh sure, that 42” flat screen TV would bring many hours of entertainment but is it in your budget? Nooooo. Do your kids really need another toy that may be played with for a few hours and then stepped on and broken? Nooooo. Does your wife really need new diamond earrings (why yes, yes she does! I mean, no, not really)? Do your parents need more stuff in their house? Nooooo.
If you are looking for that one perfect gift that will keep on giving after the holidays are over, I found a really cool website that sells really cool stuff. I was first introduced to Paper Coterie on a blog I follow called We Are THAT Family. Kristen finds the coolest stuff.
The one item she recommended was the 10 Things List. This wall art lets you list 10 things you love about the recipient. How cool would it be to receive a meaningful gift like that? We don’t tell our kids, our parents, our friends, our spouses often enough WHY we love them. Here, the wall art says it all for you. I think they are so reasonably priced too which is a bonus in my book.
Besides the cool 10 Things List, they have lots of other creative ways to make personal gifts – collages, calendars, memory keepers. They even have a recipe book where you can put a photo on the front and then fill with family recipes or your kid’s favorite meals before they head off to college and have to cook on their own. See, just really neat stuff that anyone would love to receive any time of the year.
